The founder of Gemolithos Fine Gems & Jewels, Ioannis Alexandris, is extraordinarily passionate about jewelry! A gemologist and a well-respected expert on antique jewelry, his expansive product offerings include original pieces from the 18th and 19th centuries, Art Nouveau, Bell Epoque and Art Deco eras, the 1950’s and the 1960’s, and a selection of contemporary artists’ collections.  

Ioannis’ approach towards jewelry and gems transcends a mere transaction of commercial product. He believes strongly in the power of gemstones and precious metals, in the hands of skilled artisans, to create magic that can accompany the wearer throughout their life and through multiple generations. Not only does he believe in the metaphysical and healing properties of particular gemstones, he is also driven by his belief in jewelry’s ability to bring lasting joy into the universe.
