Jacob Gipsman started his company, Jacob’s Diamond & Estate Jewelry, in 1984. Since then, he has established the company as a specialist in vintage engagement rings, Art Deco, Edwardian, and Victorian jewelry. He freely shares some of the expertise he’s gleaned over 40 years in the industry through blog articles and prides himself on maintaining the highest standards of integrity and customer care. We caught up with Jacob to find out about his most memorable score, his favorite material, and his biggest resource.
U.S. Antique Shows (USAS): What is your title & role within your company?
Jacob Gipsman: I am the President of our company and I help manage the buying and selling of our inventory.
USAS: What was your best and most memorable score?
JG: Our most memorable score to me was this beautiful Art Deco diamond and platinum brooch with a beautiful fancy yellow six carat briolette cut diamond dangling at the bottom. It came off the brooch and slipped into a very wearable diamond drop necklace. It was a transformable piece of art.

JG: I go with my hunches!
USAS: What would your job be if you weren’t doing what you’re doing now?
