We often say that we can spend all day every day roaming the show floor during the Original Miami Beach Antique Show (OMBAS) and, on the last hour of the last day, still discover something we hadn’t yet seen! Everyone on the team spends a lot of time compiling wish lists in our heads, dreaming about being able to add a new piece to our collection of jewelry, thinking about the outfits we’d pair with a new (to us!) handbag, envisioning the swagger a particular timepiece would put in our step, or imagining the home we’d have that could accommodate a particular piece of home décor.

Just in case Santa is listening, we have once again compiled a U.S. Antique Show Team Wish List featuring just one item each member of the team would love to receive. The breadth of choices seen here showcases both the diversity of style sensibilities and lifestyles at play among our team, and the commonality of excellent taste!  

Emma Pastore, Marketing Manager:

This year, a Rolex Datejust Mint Green Dial Watch is on the top of my wish list! I love how contemporary the 31mm looks, yet it still has timeless appeal. Anyone who knows me knows that it’s a rare day when I’m not in an all-black or a black and white ensemble. The green dial is the perfect, subtle pop of color my wardrobe needs, and I also love that I could dress this up or wear it casually.

Genevra Rao, Vice President, Operations:

This platinum, Vintage Lady’s Diamond Wristwatch featuring two marquise brilliant diamonds and 104 round, single cut diamonds would keep me on time all the time! I never tire of building upon my jewelry wardrobe, which is a mix of antique and contemporary, and I know that every “proper” jewelry collection should include a quality timepiece. With its white dial with black Arabic numeral hour markers and blue steel hands, this piece is stylish and sophisticated and strikes the perfect balance of form and function.

Erin O’Donnell, Vice President, Marketing:

Fresh flowers are my love language. I know it might seem like an insignificant thing, but seeing a beautiful arrangement of fresh flowers never ceases to brighten even the dreariest day. I think this chic, Gucci vase would not only inspire my husband to get me flowers more regularly, but I’d also be more inclined to treat myself with fresh flowers more frequently. And during lapses in being filled, this vase is still a joy to look at!

Santa, please bring me this pair of Murano Glass Palm Tree Leaf sconces in the Barovier Style! Living in costal Florida, we don’t get the seasonal changes in weather as dramatically as people up north get. These sconces would help enhance the natural light my home gets during the day, while also creating a perfect, cozy glow in the evening, all while nodding to one of Florida’s most defining natural elements, palm trees!

Michelle Orman, Press & Communications:

The inimitable Suzanne Belperron was a trailblazer, personally, professionally and creatively. I love that she was fearless in her use of materials, often mixing stones that are considered “less valuable” with high priced precious gemstones. She also broke from conventions of the time and designed for the female form, taking into account the curves and movements of the body in creating her pieces so that they could be worn comfortably, a quality that is evident in this sapphire and diamond bracelet. Owning this would be like owning a piece of jewelry history!

What discerning woman wouldn’t cherish the opportunity to add an Hermès Kelly Ghillies Handbag in an exquisite shade of green to her collection? With its timeless silhouette, intricate Ghillies detailing, and unparalleled craftsmanship, this handbag embodies sophistication and elegance. I have always enjoyed fashion houses with a rich and storied history like Chanel, and for good reason. Coco Chanel is one of the most iconic figures to reshape the fashion world. Having grown up my entire life in NY and proudly graduating from FIT, I’ve always admired how Chanel reimagined and revolutionized women’s clothing, jewelry and handbags with timeless appeal. Getting accessorized with her classic, iconic handbag on my shoulder!?! Now that’s a dream come true! Attending theatre in New York City is still my favorite past time, and if a vintage Chanel bag is my accessory, I’d be a very stylish woman!

I love this ornate music box from Antique Legacy, it reminds me of a doll that my grandmother gifted me when I was little girl one year for Christmas. Under its dress it had a “surprise” key to turn and play music; I still have this doll because it’s so special. Now, my grandmother enjoys gifting my daughters music boxes of their own and I love seeing this become a tradition in our family.

I have been working on adding to my wrist stack for years and I think I might finally be satisfied if I could add a classic, 18k gold Cartier love bangle to the mix! This piece is an icon of jewelry design from one of the world’s most celebrated jewelry maisons. To know a little bit of the history behind the design is to love the piece even more; born out of heartbreak, it stands firmly as a symbol of lasting love.

Gannon Brousseau, Executive Vice President, Luxury:

It is tough not to love this Patek Phillipe Nautilus with a co-signed dial by the retailer Gubelin. This timepiece, offered by Menta Watches, comes with the original box and papers. It’s just an amazing piece of history that I’d love to add to my collection.
